Recent Details Surface Regarding the Location of the Reiner Couple's Bodies

Recent details have emerged regarding the untimely deaths of acclaimed director Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were found at their residence home on Sunday.

The Alarm

As detailed in an account referencing a family associate, a therapist arriving for an session initially became concerned after not being able to enter the house. This individual then contacted the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives in the vicinity.

After gaining access to the house, Romy found her father's body. Accounts indicate she then left the home distraught, unaware at that moment that her mother's body was there as well. Her roommate who had gone with her contacted 911. Following this, first responders found Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Proceedings

Law enforcement have charged the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of premeditated murder, as well as the use of a dangerous weapon, reportedly a knife. He is presently being held and is ineligible for bail.

Clarifications

The anonymous source questioned several earlier details. It was stated that while Romy Reiner told emergency responders that her brother Nick resided in a detached unit on the estate, she did not identify him as a suspect at that moment.

Additionally refuted published claims that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been especially "apprehensive" about Nick's behavior in recent weeks. Rather the family was "accustomed to working through [Nick's] problems together."

The statement applies to descriptions of reportedly "unpredictable" conduct by Nick at a event held by Conan O'Brien the evening prior to the tragedy. While the source stated they were not in a position to confirm whether Rob had "scolded" his son at the party, they maintained that claims of a "blow-up" between the two were untrue.

Investigation Details

As stated by law enforcement sources, the medical examiner had still not confirmed as of Tuesday whether the Reiners died on Saturday evening or on Sunday. Preliminary accounts indicated the condition of their bodies implied they had been deceased for a period of time.

Nick Reiner was taken into custody at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park area, about 15 miles from the family home. He was set to be arraigned on Tuesday, but his legal counsel, Alan Jackson, stated his client had a medical issue and would not appear until Wednesday at the earliest.
