Beloved Performer The actor Pat Finn, Recognized For Parts in Seinfeld and The Middle, Dies at the Age of Sixty.
US performer Finn, who appeared in popular programs such as Friends, Seinfeld and The Middle, has succumbed aged 60.
The comedic improv actor passed away at his residence in LA on Monday following treatment for cancer beginning in 2022, as reported by media reports.
"He considered no one a stranger - only friends he had yet to meet," his loved ones shared in a statement.
They added that he had "embraced life completely - with joy and exuberance".
A Notable TV Career
His debut TV appearance was on the George Wendt Show in the mid-90s, where he appeared as the lead character's sibling.
He also had a recurring role on "Murphy Brown" in the latter half of the 1990s.
He starred as Joe Mayo in Seinfeld in 1998, portraying a party host known to delegate tedious tasks to his guests.
Throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, he made guest appearances on numerous popular shows, such as:
- King of Queens
- "Friends"
- "That '70s Show"
- House
His most famous role for portraying Bill Norwood in "The Middle", featuring across eight seasons over nearly a decade.
His work in movies encompass It's Complicated (2009) and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups.
Beyond the Screen
Outside of his on-screen roles, Finn was deeply involved in improvisational comedy and served as an educator at the Colorado university, where he was a professor.
He was involved with a comedy group of six known as Beer Shark Mice.
"He coached, befriended and mentored many learners during his career and it's nearly impossible to find someone who has a bad thing to say about him," his loved ones expressed.
Offering condolences, peer Richard Kind remarked there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, down to earth person you could encounter".
"Always positive, assisting others to improve and be funnier. A great dad, a great guy," he posted on social media.
Finn is remembered by his wife Donna, his children, and his family.
